  • Saint Petersburg: the Astoria

  • Cruise on the Seine!

    Since mid-March the magnificent Don Juan II, the iconic Paris Yacht ship, cruising the most beautiful avenue of Paris has a new look! Under the leadership of Pierre Frey this beautiful unit embodied with dark mahogany and copper has been redesigned and now adopts an Art Deco look evoking the golden age of great transatlantic.   • Cannes: inauguration of the Okko hotel

    The young French Okko group does not stop! Its goal ? To give a facelift to the traditional hotel codes offering designs and innovative hotels in the heart of cities. After Nantes, Grenoble, Lyon, the fourth address of the collection moved to Cannes. Exactly in the train station, 5 minutes away from the Croisette. 125 rooms on six floors, for this 4 star with colorful design by Patrick Norguet, who wants to “offer luxury at an affordable price.” A fully successful bet. The whole white rooms feature ultra comfortable beds, the bathrooms feature a walk-in shower and eco-friendly Huygens products. Good point: the club: on the sixth and top floor, it features a large terrace with magnificent views. The hosts can find there a 24/24 open bar, buffet: sandwiches, soups, etc., a library with newspapers and magazines, a shop, a computer, a fitness area: sauna, fitness room … The group s’ not stop there way: after Cannes, it soon plans to open hotels in Rueil-Malmaison, Bayonne (July) and Toulon in 2018 … AF-M.

  • Paris: both hotel and guest house

    The Relais 12 bis just opened its doors in Paris. A few steps from the Eiffel Tower this new handset, between hotel and guest house, has for goal the welbeing of its inhabitants: to take care of them while leaving them free! In a beautiful Parisian building, the 12 bis has all the characteristics of a Parisian apartment: fireplace, wood floors and original moldings, all pricked with notes of a very modern decor. For the living room and the 5 bedrooms including a family suite, Sabine, the owner has put together a very “cocoon” atmosphere with which is not always the case out of the five stars hotels (!) a wonderful bedding : all beds are 180. in the bathrooms, hospitality products are signed by Anne Semonin. The furniture and decorative objects come from Kartell, Sivera, AM PM … Breakfast is impeccable: Mariage Frères tea, organic jams, pastries basket … Finally be aware that the rooms have painters names: Mondrian, Matisse, Braque … and there is even a speaker who is available for guests to offer them costum-made museum visits … AF-M.

  • Paris: an ephemeral bar at the Cinq Codet

    From March 9th to 17th, we head to the Cinq Codet in the Dôme suite which offers a breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower and Les Invalides. If you have the opportunity, choose one of these three evenings: on Wednesday, March 9th for a live concert by the Cameroonian singer Nico & The Red Shoes, on Tuesday, March 15th, CityChef, THE reference for home restoration in Paris is organizing a four-hands dinner worth of a high-end restaurant.   • Hong Kong: a new Beefbar

    After Monaco and Mexico the Beefbar is settling its dishes in Hong Kong. Signed by the talented duo of architects Humbert and Poyet, this new place has taken up residence in the heart of the city. The decor inspired by English gentlemen’s club includes all the codes of a discreet and elegant luxury. My noble materials: tinted wood panels in black, leather furniture, patinated bronze and a marble bar create an intimate atmosphere. Remarkable piece of the place: the perforated ceiling made of metal panels alternating empty and full to invent a relief. A beautiful transparent wine cellar is throning: a real temptation for connoisseurs! On the menu signed by the chef Andrea Spagoni if ​​the exceptional meats have the upper pad, that fish lovers can stay assured ; Angus beef meets a salad of King crab or cod ravioli but also the burger declined in 10 different ways!   • Lausanne: a hotel signed by MHNA
