  • Six Senses Hotels Resorts & Spa is expanding its portfolio in distant destinations

    Six Senses Hotels Resorts & Spa has announced the development of eight new projects that will open in the coming months. In the course of the year, the group will be making its mark as the only resort adjacent to Qing Cheng Mountain, a UNESCO World Heritage site, in the Chinese province of Sichuan. This new project will be followed by the Six Senses Mont Blanc in Saint-Gervais-les-Bains, Six Senses Buthan, Wuma and Nighai in China, Freedom Bay in St. Lucia in the Caribbean, Uluwatu in Bali, Esentai Tower in Almaty, Kazakhstan, in the district of Worly in Mumbai and finally Gammarth in Tunisia.

  • Photography internship at the Residence Zanzibar.

    For three days, get tips from a professional photographer in the heart of one of the finest hotels in the world. Paul Joyson-Hicks MBE, who has lived and worked in East Africa for over twenty years, will be your teacher during this photographic excursion. He will take you on a journey through the island, provide guidance on how to photograph the most beautiful architectural landmarks of the island, as well as the native red Colobus monkeys around the Jozani forest and the lush flora and fauna so specific to Zanzibar.

  • The revival of the Setai, Miami Beach.

    The grand-scale renovation project of the Setai, Miami Beach has propelled the hotel – named the “best hotel in Miami” – to new heights.   • Jet Airways connects Paris to Chennai, India.

    The Indian private airline is now offering a daily flight from Paris CDG to Chennai via Abu Dhabi. The opening of this new line is linked to the success of the “travel smart by Jet Airways” concept that offers business class travelers seven daily flights from Paris to Mumbai, Delhi, Cochin and Chennai. This offer for a one-way trip to India includes a high frequency of daily flights, total flexibility of schedules and connections, as well as an identical rate for any chosen route.

  • W Verbier, the first W hotel in the Alps.

    With this first complex dedicated to winter sports in the Alps, the W Hotels Worldwide is making its entry into Switzerland. Designed by architectural firm Concrete Architectural Associates, the W hotel Verbier has 123 rooms, as well as 15 residences perfect for jet-setters looking for a travel experience to remember. The four wooden buildings that make up the hotel are connected to each other by a glass atrium, and the interiors juxtapose a New York urban style and Swiss design, with spectacular views. In the kitchen, twice-starred Spanish chef Sergi Arola brings his innovative touch to the restaurant.

  • Le Tigrr Indochine, a fun new address in Megève

    Located in the center of Megève, Le Tigrr Indochine is both bar-restaurant and club. It was designer Philippe Di Meo who was responsible for dressing up this multi-faceted space, and brightening up the interior with shades of black, gold and yellow-orange. Here, the tiger is omnipresent: on the cushions, tablecloths and even at the end of the chopsticks marked with the Tigrr logo. They can also be turned into stamps by using the inkpots available…

  • The Eagles Nest crowned the «best boutique hotel in the world».

    The New Zealand based hotel received the prize for best boutique hotel in the world during the last World Travel Awards in Doha. This little corner of paradise between heaven and earth is located near the historic seaside town of Russell, in the Bay of Islands. An establishment requented by Hollywood celebrities and an upscale clientele, the Eagles Nest consists of five luxurious villas each with a Jacuzzi and cinema room, and four of which have a heated pool.

  • Emirates launches a daily service to Mauritius.

    The official airline of Dubai has inaugurated a daily service to Mauritius, the 24th destination of the Emirates A380 network. From now on, the flight will leave Dubai International Airport at 3:10 to arrive in Mauritius at 9:40. The return flight, meanwhile, takes off at 18:20, and arrives at 1:10 the next day to Dubai. A second daily flight to the same destination is a Boeing 777-300.

  • The Boscolo Milano and the Boscolo Exedra Roma join the Autograph Collection.

    Two hotels from the Boscolo Hotels group are joining the Autograph Collection, of the Marriott International group. Located in the fashion district of Milan, the Boscolo Milano has 154 rooms and suites. Built in 1920, the hotel has been completely renovated by designer Italo Rota, who has masterfully preserved its historic beauty. For its part, the Boscolo Exedra Roma continues to be one of the most exclusive establishments in the Italian capital with its grandiose décor, typical of palaces of the nineteenth century. Some of the 238 rooms and suites and terrace even offer panoramic views of the Piazza della Repubblica.

  • Train up with Manchester City thanks to Etihad.

    National airline of the United Arab Emirates and official sponsor of Manchester City, Etihad is inviting its football fan passengers to live an exceptional experience. To win a training session with a guest of their choice, including a stay in the Manchester team’s hometown, one need only to book a flight on Etihad Airways before February 28, whatever the class and destination and complete an online form to be automatically entered for the draw. Winners will be announced in March.

  • Brown's Hotel launches weekly art tours.

    Every Saturday morning, Brown’s Hotel in London is organizing exclusive tours of the exhibitions of the main galleries of Mayfair. Each week, the director of one of the galleries will accompany guests for a personal tour of some of their favorite exhibitions and galleries. An ideal way to discover that London art is not confined to the galleries of Cork Street, but also exists behind the gates of the city’s beautiful period homes. Each tour is designed to introduce visitors to a diverse but complementary – and often exclusive – range of art styles.

  • Etihad Airways is organizing a photo competition.

    The national airline of the United Arab Emirates is celebrating the holiday season with a big photo contest hosted via social networks. It is inviting people all around the world to post original photos of their travels on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter using the hashtag # EYFollowYou. The background of the image can reflect any aspect of the holiday experience such as visiting a famous monument, dinner at a local restaurant or a moment of relaxation aboard a plane. The contest is open until January 31st, and the winner will receive a prize of two return tickets in Economy Coral class to any destination on Etihad Airways’ network.

  • Taste the magic at M de Megève.

    Considered by many to be the most fun kind of meal, snacks are making a comeback at M de Megève, much to the delight of both the young and the old.   • Icelandair heads to Iceland from Geneva.

    Iceland will be accessible from western Switzerland from 24 May onwards. The opening of this line is part of the company’s growth plan in 2014. Three new destinations, including Geneva, are being introduced, as well as three new Boeing 757’s added to the fleet and an increase of 350,000 passengers expected with the flight frequency doubled compared to 2009. From 24 May to 23 September, Icelandair will be flying to Reykjavik from Geneva with two flights per week on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

  • Thalys launches a new version of its mobile application.
