Four Seasons special
In August, Plume Voyage will be bringing you news on luxury hotel groups and their latest offerings. This week, we take a look at the Four Seasons.
For its third edition, Around the World in a Private Jet, organized by the Four Seasons, will be taking passengers from Seattle to New York in 22 days. The trip, organized in partnership with TCS & Starquest Expeditions, will see guests admiring works of art and architectural wonders in St. Petersburg, swimming among the fascinating wildlife of Maldives and immersing themselves in the avant-garde atmosphere of Tokyo. Participants will discover eight countries in total, whilst staying exclusively in Four Seasons establishments. The trip can also be customized by guests selecting the excursions they wish to experience during each stop. This world tour is supervised by a team of professionals and, in particular, an experienced cabin staff, expedition personnel, a doctor, porters for luggage, a chef and Four Seasons concierge that will be on hand to meet their every need.
For all the family fun and sharing unforgettable moments, the Four Seasons group has developed a new tool – the “kid’s concierge”. As a part of the Have Family Will Travel blog, created by the group, it allows parents to seek advice and tourist information according to location, the age of their children and their favorite activities. They can choose between riding lessons in the English countryside, exploring the Mangrove de Malaise with a naturalist, reconnecting with their ancestors in Budapest by researching their family tree, pretending to be a mahout in the Thai jungle, or follow the adventures of the Triplés in Paris.
The Flare Spa at the new Four Seasons Hotel Pudong, Shanghai, has teamed up with prestigious French house Guerlain and is now offering treatments (facials, massages, body and beauty treatments) created specifically for the spa. A ‘must try’ of this new and exclusive range, the Imperial Orchid treatment was inspired by the extraordinary power of longevity of one of nature’s most beautiful creations. The Imperial Orchid products range – the result of years of research – acts as a rejuvenating bath and visibly transforms the skin. All the Flare Spa therapists have undergone special training to learn the massage technique invented by Guerlain in 1939.
The iconic two-star chef of Cinq, the gourmet restaurant at the Four Seasons George V in Paris, takes you on a discovery tour of his best suppliers. Each month, Eric Briffard accompanies a few privileged clients to the market on Avenue du Président Wilson. It is a unique opportunity to interact with him and discover his preferred suppliers and stallholders. The morning departure takes place in the lobby of the hotel with a basket for everyone. Visitors will discover how the chef selects certain fruits and vegetables that one can rediscover in his recipes. Once the shopping has been completed, the guests are invited to catch up with the chef in the kitchen back at the hotel to join him in a friendly realization of a recipe. And in doing so, they contribute to the preparation of a dish before serving it, with a glass of champagne. An experience reserved for guests of the hotel and Cinq upon reservation.
