  • Hong Kong Peninsula and Goyard

    When two legendary houses, emblematic of luxury and elegance combine, this can only give good things! The Peninsula, the premier address in Hong Kong and Goyard, the prestigious French luggage, are editing a new travel collection in limited series, “Peninsula Green.” It will be presented during the Month of Artisans in the shopping arcade of the hotel, from 1 to June 30, 2016. For the occasion, Goyard has redesigned the classic Bourget suitcase with four wheels and a new model of toiletry bag. This new line is, of course green, like the color of the Rolls-Royce of the house! A travel kit that can be personalized with hand-painted monograms, with the initials of its owner making each object more unique. The “Limited Serie, Travel Collection The Peninsula » is exclusively available at the Goyard shop on the ground floor of The Peninsula Hong Kong from 7 to 30 June 2016. A. F.-M.

  • Hotel du Castellet: a new spa

    Ideally located between Aix-en-Provence, Marseille and Toulon, the Hotel du Castellet dominates the sea and borders the Bandol vineyards. Two years of design and work were necessary to create this new spa of 900 m2 in the heart of the five stars and that we can discover in early June. It features six treatment rooms including a VIP suite, a sensory space consisting of a lively pool with steam room, sauna and ice fountain and a salt grotto that offers the benefits of the Mediterranean Sea. It includes two famous well-being specialist brands : ESPA, an expert brand in aromatherapy and sensory experience of English origin and Valmont, the Swiss brand specialized in anti-aging and praised for its effectiveness against signs of the times! Let’s mention again that the hotel also has a distinguished restaurant with two Michelin stars where Chef Christophe Bacquié shows a menu highlighting the products of the Mediterranean soil. A.   • Saint-Tropez : the awaited reopening of the Muse

    The Muse Hotel, owned by the Malaysian YTL Group and a member of “Small Luxury Hotels of the World” opened its doors for its 7th season on Thursday, April 21st. This preserved place, in the heart of an ecological garden received the Golden Landscape Victory in 2012. The novelty of the season? the lobby which offers a very Mediterranean style with turquoise tones revealed with natural wood. The 14 suites are named after a Muse … Lauren, Juliette, or Ava Catherine … They are often duplex and have a garden, some with a private mini pool, a massage room. At the restaurant the young chef Emily M Myotte signs a subtle menu with southern accents. Good point: the Muse allows external guests at the hotel to enjoy its Sunshine formula: lunch and swimming pool € 50 and the Muse Service: refreshing towel, mattress and pillows. A. F.-M.

  • Saint-Barth: ode to color

    Beautifully located on the heights of St. Jean, offering a panoramic breathtaking view and 200 meters from the most beautiful beaches of the island, the luxurious Villa Catherine is the latest flagship of the Hotel Le Village St. Barth. Playing the card of creativity, Catherine Charneau, co-owner of Le Saint-Barth Village, established in 1968 by his father, opened this villa, which is also the first artist residency in St. Barts. It includes in a rainbow of colors, works by the sculptor Mathias Durand Reynaldo, we owe him many objects such as headboards, lamps, coffee machines and from the photographer Olivier LeRoi … We also find here furniture signed by Paola Navone, Matali Crasset, not to forget paintings by Andy Warhol … Opened on the outside and surrounded by lush vegetation, it offers three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a large kitchen, two living rooms and a huge deck. It can accommodate 6 people. An infinity pool, a cottage wellness and fitness center are available to guests in the hotel.

  • Belle-Ile-En-Mer: let’s head to the Desirade

    On the island of wild beauty and its 82 km of coastal paths, off the coast of Brittany, Desirade is a boutique hotel of 32 rooms and suites, a member of the TemptingPlaces label. Pierre and Bénédicte Rebour welcome guests in their 6 small houses typical of Belle-Ile, designed as guest houses and scattered amid the huge landscaped garden around the large heated pool. In the plate, the chef Pacôme Epron highlights the terroir of Belle-Ile-En-Mer for a cuisine full of flavors and finesse.   • Thailand: a first So Sofitel resort

    A two and half hours from Bangkok, Hua Hin has long been a destination of choice evoking resorts of yesteryear. This is where SO Sofitel installed its first resort in Asia Pacific with 77 rooms. It is distinguished by its innovative design concepts and creative lighting. The imaginative concept of the Escape SO Sofitel Hua Hin is based on the seaside style of the destination and the hotel’s special character and displays a bright design. SO Sofitel combines French elegance and atmosphere of the country for each of its hotels. Each Sofitel SO based on the signature of an artist who gives it its character: Kenzo in Mauritius, Karl Lagerfeld and Christian Lacroix from Singapore to Bangkok. Here the resort boasts the signature of designer Polpat Asavaprapha, founder and artistic director of ASAVA. He cut his teeth with big names such as Marc Jacobs, Isaac Mizrahi and Max Mara. In the many strengths of the resort may be mentioned a White Oven restaurant that serves wonderful Thai cuisine and private access to the popular beach of Chaam. A.F.-M.

  • Provence: the field of Fontenille

    We applaud with both hands Frédéric Biousse and Guillaume Foucher for the success of their wonderful project: the restoration and the “resurrection” of this beautiful country house and its vineyard of 35 hectares, built between the 16th and the late 18th century in the heart of the Luberon. One and a half year of work has been necessary to restore the place to its former glory. Now the building nestled in the heart of a planted cypress park (nearly 250), of oleanders, olive trees, hydrangeas, roses, iris … houses 17 rooms and suites. Spacious, bright they are adorned in shades of gray, beige, taupe. In bathrooms, old-style bathtubs perfectly go with the very design stoneware tiles signed by Patricia Urquiola. On the menu, the young chef Jérôme Faure depicts local exceptional products that you can taste at the Champ des Lunes, the gourmet restaurant and at the bistro, the Cuisine d’Amélie, where we enjoy a few signature dishes. .. at reasonable prices! A large swimming pool and a spa turn this place into a dream place. Finally the domain just opened the first exhibition of its contemporary art center: Les Mécaniques Absurdes. We can admire there, until the 26th of June, 2016, the works of Jean-Michel Fauquet, Laurent Millet and Ethan Murrow. A.F.-M.

  • Marrakech: the terrace of the Buddha-Bar

    After conquering the biggest cities from Paris to Dubai via Monte Carlo, London, New Delhi, Moscow, the last baby of the family Buddha Bar opened in October 2015 in Marrakech. Located in the district of Hivernage, the Buddha-Bar invites you to travel around the senses, between the cultural richness of Asia and the West. We celebrate spring by discovering the novelties of the Buddha-Bar on the beautiful terrace. Open every night from 6 PM, seven days a week, it is the obvious place for lounging while enjoying signature cocktails such as the must-drink Tikech: a variation of rose water, coconut water, passion fruit and pineapple puree and the beautiful creations of the special Tapasian menu.   • Paris: a night with the sharks

    Sleeping in a room immersed in the heart of a large basin where 35 sharks are swimming? Yes it is possible at the Paris Aquarium. Located just a few steps away from the Eiffel Tower and opened in 1867, the Paris Aquarium is the oldest aquarium in the world. Airbnb offers an exceptional experience: 3 nights in an underwater room, 10 meters deep, on the 11th, 12th and 13th of April. The only thing that separates the occupants of the 35 sharks is a 360 degrees transparent wall! An original initiative to raise awareness on the preservation of sharks. The shark is actually more endangered than threatening to humans. Some species have disappeared over 90%, so it is time to act to protect them.     Inaugurated on March 8th by Henri Giscard d’Estaing, CEO of Club Méditerranée and Sylvain Rabuel, General Manager of France Benelux Switzerland and Europe Africa New Markets, the new Club Med agency at 125, Avenue Champs-Élysées, is a small wonder of the genre! imagined as a very chic Haussmann apartment, this agency offers a new face. The decor is inspired by the 5 Trident villages spaces to immerse guests in the Club Med spirit when preparing their trip. It includes several areas, such as in a real apartment: the lounge room, sharing and conviviality space, invites customers to take their time and share their memories at the Club Med over a coffee or a snack, the library provides them with beautiful books illustrating many of the worldwide discoveries tours.

  • L’Arbre Rouge signed by CHC

  • Arcachon: Les Bains d’Arguin Hotel

    It reopened its doors in April: new bedrooms, new salons and a new restaurant…Located in the heart of a pine forest and just 100m from one of the most stunning beaches, this member of the Thalazur group was entirely revamped by the Moha Architecture bureau over the winter. 94 bedrooms compose this 4-star hotel (91 with balconies), including refined décor and a palette of wood, blue and taupe solidifying this designer ambiance. In the Sterne bar – named in honour of the migratory bird, the Sterne Caugek, which nests on the bank of the Arguin, the atmosphere is resolutely designer with low tables, armchairs and 70s carpets. In the restaurant, the Côté Arguin, chef Frédéric Monceyron – former chef at the Château Lagrange and Anne-Sophie Pic, favours a menu of healthy but gourmet flavours: oysters by Joël Dupuch, star of the Petits Mouchoirs, roasted pearl monkfish, lightly grilled prawns and Saint-Jacques…his aim: to become one of the best restaurants in Archachon!
