Terre Blanche, an exceptional resort

By Sandra Serpero

Far from the city, far from its frenzy and from the heat wave, you embark on a far, sunny and soothing land.

Head down South, in the Var region to discover Terre Blanche, an exceptional 5-star resort.

An ideal destination to enjoy an enchanted break and let yourself be gently caressed by the rays of the midday sun.

Beauty of a landscape
Nestled in a green setting, this hotel is first and foremost an exceptional space that extends over more than 300 hectares. A wild countryside that offers a scene of pristine nature and a superb panoramic view. An exceptional environment cajoled like a treasure: Terre Blanche has been working for 15 years to use environmentally friendly methods to become Europe’s leading eco-responsible resort. At Plume Voyage, we have been won over!

A plethora of offers
Like a village, Terre Blanche brings together 115 suites and independent villas, each of which are spacious and elegant. Decorated in a Provençal spirit, reflecting their environment, they each have a living room, a private terrace and a spacious bathroom with shower and bathtub. Designed specially for the comfort of their guests, they can be experienced in privacy throughout the day thanks to the room service provided 24 hours a day. Special recognition for the villa Terre Blanche, the most luxurious and vast of the resort of exceptional size (in tune with the price!): 300m2 with 3 bedrooms, a swimming pool and a private Jacuzzi.

Dive in!
She’s the star of Terre Blanche! An incredible 600m2 overflowing swimming pool with a panoramic view of the Pays de Fayence perched villages. For her alone, the trip is worth the detour. What’s new in 2019? Yoga classes around the pool during the whole summer period.

Absolute relaxation at the spa
Nestled in a sumptuous ochre villa of 3200m2 at the highest point of the Terre Blanche site, surrounded by trees, the spa is amid cypress trees, fragrant bushes and aromatic plants. A fragrance of serenity that can be breathed and lived in this grandiose space designed for a sense of well-being and already ranked among the most beautiful spas in Europe. For the celebrations, a complete menu of top-of-the-range treatments provided by the French brand KOS, a hair salon in partnership with the Davines brand, a manicure/pedicure studio… Among the facilities, a superb indoor swimming pool that extends from a vitality space outside, a sauna, a hammam and a laconium (perfect mixture between the sauna and the hammam, once inside, difficult to get out!)

The pleasures of the table
With four restaurants, Terre Blanche offers a varied cuisine that combines the flavours of the Mediterranean and Provence. Since 2014, chef Philippe Jourdin, who served at the Moulin de Mougins and the Tour d’Argent, is in charge of the kitchens. Le Faventia, the resort’s gastronomic table, with a Michelin star on its rim, is an elegant feast of delicate recipes, all inspired by seasonal products. Among the signature dishes are: golden duck foie gras in saltire, chutney and fresh apricot tartar and Amareto siphon; turbot cooked in seaweed butter, seasoned with caviar and iodized spleen apple in two textures; rock fish cut into sashimis, orange boilie juice, galinette toast. As for desserts, Chef Pâtissier Gaëtan Fiard is the Resort’s new sweet signature. At only 29 years old, and after having left his trace in major companies such as the Lutétia, he composed a menu of bewitching creations. Tasted and approved is his William Pear in sugar crust, hay ice cream and cooked Provence wine.

Sweet intoxication….
To complete its gastronomic offering, Terre Blanche has just inaugurated its wine cellar, an elegant and intimate setting that captures a sublime collection of bottles. Here, there is something for everyone: from small Provençal vineyards to the largest Bordeaux and Burgundy estates. A tasting that is accompanied by an assortment of tapas signed by Chef Philippe Jourdin for a classy moment. Irresistible.

A golfer’s paradise
Terre Blanche is an exceptional golf destination in France. Once again, nature is the inspiration for the golf courses. Beauty of a site where valleys, lakes, ravines, waterfalls, forests line “Le Château” and “Le Riou”, the two site’s golf courses. As a bonus? The Albatros Performance Center, a unique training centre, renown throughout the world for the expertise of its teachers and the quality of its infrastructure, allowing all novice and experienced golfers to learn and perfect their skills.
