Philippe Conticini at the Café Salle Pleyel.
At the invitation of Helene Samuel, Philippe Conticini is the new “guest chef” at Café Salle Pleyel during the musical season 2012/2013.
A major pâtissier, a veritable “palais absolu”, this virtuoso of taste has imagined dishes where the tanginess will titillate the taste buds, the vanilla caresses the rice salad, and the land runs alongside the sea.
He also revisits the Café Salle Pleyel signatures such as the burger with a hamburger of roast duck, accompanied by a sharp and tangy jus.
The desserts themselves cover citrus (lime Pleyel craquant, with cream and lemon jelly), chocolate (chocolate mousse, with caramelized dried fruit paste, and vanilla puffed rice) and seasonal fruits.
The rice fields of West Bali by Unesco.
After twelve years of waiting, Bali has just received the status of World Heritage of Humanity by Unesco for its unique Subak irrigation system, which creates the stunning emerald green rice terraces that are the hallmark of the West of the island of Bali. This status was awarded in recognition of the important role that rice terraces play in the protection of Balinese culture in the context of an ancient cultural way of life that is still relevant today. To discover this sublime landscape, the Alila Villas Soori hotel is offering an “All About Rice” tour. You will have the opportunity to discover everything about the culture of rice, its religious significance and how the planting, growing and harvesting of rice are related to temple ceremonies.

Blaise Mautin creates a custom-made fragrance for Maradiva Villas Resort & Spa.
The perfumer Blaise Mautin has imagined and created a unique signature fragrance, using a variety of scents in the image of the intimate paradise that is the Maradiva Villas Resort & Spa. Nestled between the sea and the sky, the hotel stands opposite the Indian Ocean and the towering volcanic peaks of Mauritius. The omnipresent harmony, the perfect comfort and fragrant vegetation inspired the perfumer to create an ode to nature. A solar top note subtly expressed with bergamot and lemon zest, a central note with a marine touch using jasmine petals and light roses, against a background of wood, sandalwood and musk. This refreshing and delicate composition comes in the form of soap, shower gel, bath salts, shampoo and body lotion for moments of well-being and absolute relaxation.

There are city islands and paradise islands, nature islands and culture islands, nearby islands, archipelagos and islands reserved for Robinson Crusoe, far from anything, and many other mythical islands that are yet to be discovered.
Véronique Durruty invites us to travel to a hundred different islands through her photographs, texts and drawings.
She recounts her vision of a place, is subjective and sensitive, whilst transmitting her sensations and feelings. Far from a travel guide, this beautiful book creates a close proximity between the reader and the people that were met on her travels.

« Au-dessus du chemin
de Compostelle ».
The Camino de Santiago, or rather the trail that links Le Puy-en-Velay to Saint Jacques de Compostela, never ceases to inspire travel writers. And in this beautiful book from Editions La Martinière, the work and totally original vision of Hervé Tardy, an aerial photographer, and Mino, a recognized artist, is presented. Both have fallen in love with this path that each one pursued in their own manner. Hervé Tardy at low and medium altitudes. Mino, meanwhile, locked in his studio with the thoughts of pilgrims. She imagined, in her notebooks and through her beautiful drawings, the troubles, doubts and uncertainties that turned in their heads along the way. A veritable invitation for the pilgrims of yesterday and today.
