Philippe Conticini at the Café Salle Pleyel. At the invitation of Helene Samuel, Philippe Conticini is the new “guest chef” at Café Salle Pleyel during the musical season 2012/2013. A major pâtissier, a veritable “palais absolu”, this virtuoso of taste has imagined dishes where the tanginess will titillate the taste buds, the vanilla caresses the rice salad, and the land runs alongside the sea. He also revisits the Café Salle Pleyel signatures such as the burger with a hamburger of roast duck, accompanied by a sharp and tangy jus. The desserts themselves cover citrus (lime Pleyel craquant, with cream and lemon jelly), chocolate (chocolate mousse, with caramelized dried fruit paste, and vanilla puffed rice) and seasonal fruits. www.cafesallepleyel.com

To discover this sublime landscape, the Alila Villas Soori hotel is offering an “All About Rice” tour. You will have the opportunity to discover everything about the culture of rice, its religious significance and how the planting, growing and harvesting of rice are related to temple ceremonies. www.alilahotels.com/soori

Blaise Mautin creates a custom-made fragrance for Maradiva Villas Resort & Spa. The perfumer Blaise Mautin has imagined and created a unique signature fragrance, using a variety of scents in the image of the intimate paradise that is the Maradiva Villas Resort & Spa. Nestled between the sea and the sky, the hotel stands opposite the Indian Ocean and the towering volcanic peaks of Mauritius. The omnipresent harmony, the perfect comfort and fragrant vegetation inspired the perfumer to create an ode to nature. A solar top note subtly expressed with bergamot and lemon zest, a central note with a marine touch using jasmine petals and light roses, against a background of wood, sandalwood and musk. This refreshing and delicate composition comes in the form of soap, shower gel, bath salts, shampoo and body lotion for moments of well-being and absolute relaxation. www.maradiva.com
