A little piece of Mediterranean paradise on Avenue des Champs Elysées: welcome to the Café Citron imagined by the designer Simon Porte Jacquemus! This food hot spot that newly occupies the first floor of the new Galeries Lafayette unfolds a village style decor with lemon trees, straw mats, ceramic jars and wooden furniture. The menu, orchestrated by the group Caviar Kaspia, is a tasty stroll along Mediterranean lands, from Provence to Greece via Corsica, Italy and Spain. Created hand in hand with exceptional craftsmen such as the greengrocers from the Vergers Saint-Eustache, the simple and joyful cuisine offers small plates alternating between pickled vegetables, sardines, tapenade, brocciu … For a sweet snack, a merry choice is the pistachio flan from Sicily signed by the Stohrer pastry shop. Better still, the pastry chef Cédric Grolet is pleased to reinvent exclusively his famous lemon trompe l’oeil: O how delightful! And in terms of style, Simon Porte Jacquemus even thought of the uniforms of the waiters: white linen pants and immaculate sneakers. What else?
