London: an original menu at the Connaught
To celebrate five very successful years working with the magnificent Connaught, double-starred chef Hélène Darroze, who declares « the products are the real stars » has come up with an amusing way to compile her menu. Effectively, it is a classic game of solitaire in which each bowl is inscribed with the name of a product. So you only have to pick a certain number in order to establish a bespoke menu…so chic! And here coquille Saint Jacques come from Scotland and are considered amongst the best in the world, fish from Saint-Jean-de-Luz, poultry from the South-West. And finally take note that last April Hélène Darroze won the Veuve Clicquot 2015 prize and has been declared “the best female chef in the world”. What else do you need?
