Le Saint: resolutely Rive Gauche
Opened in late January Le Saint, as Saint-Germain-des-Prés, has a “family home » side. Ideally located walking distance from antique shops of Carré Rive Gauche, Orsay museum … it offers 54 rooms spread over 5 floors, including a penthouse suite, 10 junior suites. Among floors, the hotel is divided in six different moods and is combining Asian influences, English evocations and neo-classical style. We love the photos scattered throughout with scenes of streets and views of the Saint-Germain-des-Prés. As for the restaurant, the Kult, mind Parisian bistro: wooden floors, moldings, Napoleon III small chairs in black wood, it displays a changing menu every two months, designed in collaboration with the chef Guillaume Monnet. It revisits the classics of bourgeois cuisine, sometimes mixing them with Asian influences. Good point: it is open continuously from 7 am to 1 am, and multiplying the services: breakfast, lunch, snacks, tea, cocktail bar, dinner. The bartender who made his classes at Fouquet’s offers, in addition to the classics, a map of 10 signature cocktails created for Le Saint. A. F.-M.
