The Peninsula Hong Kong exclusively presents Mooncakes by Chef Yip.

Traditional Chinese moon-shaped pastries known as Mooncakes are offered during the mid-Autumn Moon Festival. This year, the renowned Chinese Chef Yip is trying his hand at revamping them. Fundamentally made with red bean paste, dates, pineapple or soybean purée, covered with salted egg yolk that gives them the color of the moon, these cakes are shared amongst families and enjoyed whilst staring at the cosmos. In his version, Chef Yip has made the Mooncakes lighter with a delicious egg custard and golden puff crust. More than 400,000 of these delicacies will be hand-made by the chef and his team.
