"Family Pictures" at the MEP

At the center of many American artists’ work, the family inspired many photographers. The images presented in this exhibition, all from the MEP collection, are not family photographs, in the common sense of the term, but aesthetic projects that form an integral part of the work of photographers, either under the form of image autofictions or series of portraits. The opportunity to (re) discover the photos of Georgia O’Keefe and Alfred Stieglitz, Charis Wilson and Edward Weston, Eleanor and Harry Callahan, Maria and Lee Friedlander, Bebe and Nicolas Nixon, Edith and Emmet Godwin.
