"Tattooers tattooed" at the musée du Quai Branly
If the history of tattooing is rich both technically and aesthetically, as an already widely studied and represented art, tattoo artists and tattooed are the daily spokespeople. For the first time, the crux of this major exhibition is dedicated to tattooing as an artistic movement, paying tribute to contemporary pioneers and these artists who have helped to evolve tattoo art but whose contribution has never been fully recognised. Thus Tin-Tin, Horiyoshi III, Filip Leu, Jack Rudy, Xed LeHead and Chimé present some of their creations on prototypes/volunteers, reinventing parts of the human body in a hyperrealist way.
Until 18th October. B.D. www.quaibranly.fr
