"Kandinsky, Marc & Der Blaue Reiter" at the Fondation Beyeler, Riehen
For the first time in thirty years, Switzerland
is dedicating a large exhibtion to one of the most fascinating chapters of modern art, entered in history under the name of Der Blaue Reiter “The Blue Rider”. The Munich exhibition of 1911 and the artistic movement of the same name was originally an artistic experience of a revolutionary novelty. From the works of Wassily Kandinsky owned by the Beyeler Collection, one discovers the creation of a group of avant-garde artists, marked by principles of openness and internationality which the First World War came to an end.
