"Joseph Cornell: Wanderlust" at the Kunst Historisches Museum, Vienna.
Following the exhibition devoted to Lucian Freud, "Joseph Cornell: Wanderlust" continues to explore the work of the museum modern masters.
One of the most original artists of the twentieth century, Cornell has never received artistic training, but his work has inspired and influenced many artists in the world, including Americans, from Rauschenberg to Jasper Johns and Andy Warhol and even current minimalist artists. Although he barely left the Queens, in New York, his knowledge of Europe is particularly amazing. His creations reflect those metaphorical journeys, both in time and space.
