“In search of 0,10 - The last futurist painting exhibition”
at the Beyeler Foundation, Basel. With this exhibition, the Beyeler Foundation celebrates a memorable moment in the evolution of modern and contemporary art.
100 years ago, in 1915, 14 artists of the russian avant-garde collectively exhibited their work in Petrograd (now known as St. Petersburg). This revolutionary exhibition prompted the end of the Cubism and Futurism trends which dominated the pan-European art scene at the time, and marked the birth of Suprematism and Costructivism. Only one third of the 154 works from the original exhibition along with 2 photographs, a few orginal posters, and copies of the unillustrated catalogue survived this turbulent period. These works and original documents were recovered after many years of research.
Until the 10th of january 2016.
