"Edvard Munch Archetypes" at the Thyssen-Bornemisza museum, Madrid.

First exhibition of the Norwegian artist in Spain since 1984, Archetypes makes us (re) discover a selection of eighty works by the artist who marked his time such as Cézanne, Van Gogh and Gauguin.

Although Munch has never abandoned figurative art, he broke with the visible world and explored the hidden spiritual dimension of reality to capture the universal themes of life, love and death through an innovative art language, which evolved from symbolism to expressionism.
Until the 17th of January 2016.
