"Footprint, footprints in fashion" at the Mode Museum in Antwerp.
From contemporary creations as alienatic as those of Iris Van Herpen and Noritaka Tatehana, to carved wooden clogs of the nineteenth century, the innovative and daring approach of these creations is exposed in the light of their cultural impact.
The focus is on fashion and footwear designers who, through their professional expertise and artistic vision, have left footprints on fashion figures of their time. The exhibition also shows the Hollywood glamor of the “dream shoemaker” Salvatore Ferragamo for Marilyn Monroe, sneakers by Raf Simons and rebel boots by Vivienne Westwood and Walter van Beirendonck.
