« Nan Goldin, Scopophilia » at the Gagosian Gallery, Rome.

For her first major exhibition in Rome, the American photographer Nan Goldin presents a series of her work produced since 2010, when she gained access to the Louvre every Tuesday, the day it is closed to the public.

With her wanderings from this rare privilege us at the heart of this collection, she realized a complex and multifaceted portrait of love and desire in the form of a slide show in which personal and lively interpretations of historical works come to be associated with images from her collection personal, dating back to the late 1970s.
