« Il était une fois l'Orient Express » at the Arab World Institute, Paris.
The Orient Express has set up in the forecourt of the Arab World Institute to host a major exhibition devoted to the most legendary of all train.
Throughout the exhibition, one discovers life aboard this icon of Art Deco through the strange, almost unreal comfort of the cabins adorned with fine marquetry and glistening brass. This extensive exhibition allows us to understand the origins of the Orient Express, through the personality of its “inventor”, Georges Nagelmackers, but also the technical, social, cultural and geopolitical aspects.
Until August 3.
