« Francis Morellet & Tadashi Kawamata » at the Espace Muraille, Geneva.
The inaugural exhibition of the Espace Muraille in Geneva gave carte blanche to Parisian gallerist Kamel Mennour who has initiated a dialogue between François Morellet and Tadasho Kawamata.
And so, this new space dedicated to contemporary art is hosting the Cruibes series by Morellet – a selection of square canvases, some of which are accompanied by neon lights – alongside the work of Tadashi Kawamata, specifically a set of models and paintings on plywood. Certain pieces directly evoke the cabins he designed during the FIAC 2013 for the column and the buildings of the Place Vendome. Grafts and analogues of swallows’ nests quietly nestled under the frames.
Until July 12.
