« The Apocalypse of Saint-Jean – Jean-François Peltier » at the Cloisters, Saint-Emilion.
Passionate about the early Flemish race, François Peltier trained at the Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts in Brussels.
On display in the cloister of the collegiate of Saint-Emilon, his Saint-Jean Apocalypse makes this text totally accessible. This 40m long fresco represents human attracted to God (in black and white on cloth with a touch of green, the colour of hope) while evil is symbolised only in black and white. As for the divine, he is painted in colour on wood. A long-term piece of work that continues across collaborations with various artists.
Until 30th September. B.D. www.apocalypse-saintjean.org
