« Divine Migrations » at MuCEM, Marseille.
Across a collection of exceptional archaeological works and objects, loaned by the Fondation Grandur pour l’Art and the Musée d’Art et d’histoire in Geneva, MuCEM takes a fresh look at the dynamic of great polytheistic antiques.
Far from being isolated and frozen religious expressions, these cult pieces collide and respond to one another in the heart of the Mediterranean. The exhibition creates a dialogue between Greek, Egyptian and Roman pantheons, in their practices, representations and in the answers they give to questions relating to success and the finality of existence.
