"Sir Winston Churchill and Hassan El Glaoui" at the Mamounia, Marrakech.
For the first time in Morocco, a unique collection by two artists from very different cultures is being put on display. As such, seven pieces by Sir Winston Churchill
and 17 by El Glaoui will be presented. This is an opportunity to show the love that these two unique artists had for Morocco and to recognize their shared story. In actual fact, it was Churchill that convinced the father of Hassan El Glaoui to let his son continue his studies at the Beaux-Arts in Paris
and thus become one of the most recognized contemporary painters from Morocco. As for Churchill, he painted his first picture in 1935 during his first visit to the kingdom.
