At the dawn of the twentieth century, Paris is the capital of the avant-garde. Artists from around the world flock the City of Light where they invent new forms of art and literature in response to the rapid changes that are transforming urban life. From Cubism to Surrealism and Orphism, and the artists included in the guidance of the School of Paris, this vast exhibition presents some of the most influential paintings and sculptures of the last century, creators of artworks such as Brancusi, Braque, Delaunay, Modigliani and Picasso. Whatever their style or approach, the artists represented in this exhibition share the same determination to reject conventional aesthetic and transform the perception of everyday life in the modern city.
