The theme of ‘Modern Serenity’

Vying in terms of precision, the interiors designed by Tony Chi wind around the theme of ‘Modern Serenity’: crimson red arched armchairs face leather-covered benches and liven up the zen table setting of the Andaz Tavern. From Tokyo to New York, the mutual energy is palpable. Off to one side, a room enriched by warm wood hues defines a studious atmosphere. If the view dominates throughout, at night it is all reflected, from the immense heights beneath the ceiling to the soft, almost golden lighting, through the bay windows. As the main floor of the Andaz Tokyo, the 51st boasts something magical…a feeling that extends to the top of the building. Up there, on the edge of a vast terrace enlivened by a glass sculpture signed Jean-Michel Othoniel, a small door welcomes you into a saké bar, suggestive of the traditions of ancient tea houses. Liberated, the area unfolds beneath the slender architecture of the roof, which points towards the sky and opens up a view of the sprawling city…holding a shot of sake or a house Tea Cocktail, who knows what the night may bring. Just hang around for a moment to see if Scarlett Johansson walks through the door…!
