A new diamond is shining among the Alpine snows? It is the ambition of the Taj-I Mah, the first 5-star hotel in Les Arcs and even the entire Paradiski ski area, which also includes La Plagne and Peisey-Vallandry ski resorts. This is indeed an event in these massifs of Haute-Tarentaise. The Taj-I Mah is the little brother of the Koh-I Nor of Val Thorens with which it shares a very strong DNA. The same decoration inspired by Asia, the same names referring to the biggest diamonds in the world. The Taj-I Mah borrowed its name from the more than precious 115-carat stone, the biggest ever on a crown and which still belongs to the royal collections of Iran. The chef, Eric Samson, is also in charge of the two restaurants of this new establishment, as well as those of the Koh-I Nor. He oversees a gastronomic table (Le Diamant Noir) and a rotisserie for lunch and open to the slopes. Its location at the top of Les Arcs 2000, in the heart of the mountains, in front of the Aiguille Rouge and the center of the ski slopes, is the real asset of this hotel. We leave the establishment wearing our skis on feet and we get back in the evening to enjoy the 48 ultra bright rooms open on the mountain. Two impressive duplex suites offer a real cinema screen on the snow-covered mountains via their huge windows … A Cinq Mondes and Carita spa with a swimming pool, hammam, jacuzzi, etc. complete the picture. Let’s see if this new jewel will convince the clientele attending the 5 stars, especially concentrated in Megève or Courchevel, to come skiing in the rather family resort of Les Arcs. Anyhow, the establishment is bringing a new option of high-end hotel in this part of the Alps …
