The Réserve Paris Hotel: the golden triangle one
This is the grand opening at the start of 2015, and it is just a stones’s throw away from the Champs-Elysées. After setting up ten apartments in Trocadéro, Michel Reybier (owner of the Réserve Genève, the Rèserve Ramatuelle and the Cos d’Estournel wine estate) has created his next hotel in Paris, devised as a special private hotel, where guests share a specific travel philosophy. There is no lobby, nor reception, but a succession of intimate salons, a smoking room, wine cellar in each suite, and an indoor pool…and above all, the felt décor is teamed with flecked furniture, all designed by Jacques Garcia.
We love: The extensive library – books on art and history… – reserved exclusively for guests with an honesty bar. At night fall, the hotel atmosphere takes over.
Our favourite bedroom: One of the suites, with a balcony overlooking the Grand Palais, but even the ‘classic’ rooms are spacious and their marble bathrooms are no exception to the rule.
It’s all just too much: the bar which, unlike other establishments that fuss over cocktails, prefers to offer a 400 strong wine menu. Connoisseurs, you have come to the right place; it’s a treasure chest!
