The D’Days Festival:
To play is to allow ourselves some freedom, to escape from reality, to imagine a world in which to evolve. This fun theme chosen by the D’Days Festival this year highlights the ability of design to reinvent the rules, to shuffle the cards and to create new uses. For this 17th edition, the players of design get together to offer a program rich in events settled all over Paris, from the Palais Royal to Pantin.
On the program, two unmissable events. Let’s meet until May 14th at the Museum of Decorative Arts with signed design, designers of “beautiful in the useful” that settles in the Grande Nef and gathers about twenty exhibitions: Kartell, Dedar, Officine Panerai, Ateliers d’Aubusson … And at the Grand Palais, until May 8th where Révélations, the international crafts and creations biennial, and D’Days come together to present to the public the houses of excellence, galleries, art manufactures …
And also, three night-time events from 7PM to 10PM in Paris and Pantin not to miss. On May 9th, start the tour on the left bank in the Saint-Germain-des-Pres district with Hermés, petit h workshop, Malherbe Edition, Mathias Kiss and Virginie Bergeaud. On May 10th, take the tour from the Marais to Bastille with the BHV, Cassina Rive Droite, Empreintes, Merci, Les Ateliers de Paris … And on May 11th in Pantin to discover Les Arts Codés and Malte Martin, Les Compagnons du Devoir and La Villette Makerz by WoMa.
Highlight: the D’ Night on May 12th at the Gaieté Lyrique, an evening of meetings between amateurs and design professionals dedicated to the younger generation.
