PLUME VOYAGE. A magazine. An experience. A proposal…A journey.
Curiosity that leads us beyond borders, and the desire for a different kind of journey – imaginary, self-exploratory or artistic – continue to inspire PLUME VOYAGE.
For this fifth edition, the magazine Plume Voyage crosses the Alps, to discover our Helvetian neighbour. A Break takes us to discover the many facets of Swiss design in which the main players compete for “silent creativity”. Wander around takes us into the world of chic, designer igloo hotels, and mountain lodge alpine chalets where traditional spirit and modernity coexist harmoniously. A Bridge Between Two Shores knits, knit after knit, the latest thing in wool that is reinventing itself as much with decorative objects as with fashion accessories. In The World of ECAL, we discover that one of the best design schools in the world is firmly rooted…in Lausanne. My suitcase gives advice from Pierre Corthay, the Parisian boot maker, who is constantly flitting between two destinations to negotiate distribution agreements or to have a run around a racetrack. Travel News comes with a flurry of international news, from the opening of new luxury establishments in the mountains to charming hotels in the sun. It’s Now introduces the exhibitions that will be entertaining Switzerland this winter: the Nahmad collection in Zurich, Surrealism at the Fondation Beyeler, Beckmann in Basel, High-rise, Idea & Reality at the Museum für Gestaltung in Zurich. And as always, we give you The World of Cinema by troublemaker David Blot and his selection of films. This time, he takes us to (re)discover some of the seminal films of their genre.
The magazine, as always, wishes to offer its take on the beauty of things, to reveal the harmony of a place, to discuss the balance of an object, to tell of an encounter, to share the emotion of a moment, and to preserve the transient.
