This young Franco-Chinese woman has lived in London for many years. A new mother, she makes many trips back and forth between the British capital, where she manages the “wine investments” branch of the familial group Perenco, and the Médoc, to visit her two properties in Margaux, Chateau Labégorce and Château Marquis d’Alesme.
Are you more of a hand-carry, trunk, suitcase, travel bag, backpack or no baggage person ?
Because there is no weight limit on the Eurostar, I usually take a wheelie suitcase, which can be medium or small, either Eastpak or Samsonite. I also bring a bag to carry my MacBook Air, which is always handy for travelling, a book, which is crucial for passing the time, and magazines
Is your suitcase very organised or a bit of a jumble ?
My suitcase is definitely tidy! I am practical and organized so my suitcase reflects that side of my personality. In fact, my things are arranged by category (t-shirts, jeans, evening wear and meetings) and by wash-bag (makeup, underwear, socks, toiletries, chargers), as well as a foldable bag for my laundry upon return
What are the essentials for your suitcase ?
My scarf, a small pillow and my book. And all things that are practical when travelling: Blackberry, iPad, leggings, a long jumper and a pair of ballerina flats. These things come everywhere with me and this outfit can work on several occasions, either for meetings or an evening with friends
What kind of wash-bag do you have and what are its essentials ?
It depends on the duration of my stay. If I’m only going away for a few days, I decant everything into vials and only take essential pieces of makeup. If it’s for a few weeks, I take a huge amount of toiletries, makeup and even shower products (shampoo, conditioner and facial cleanser). But my absolute essential? My Sonicare electric toothbrush…For optimum cleaning !
