Still in Paris? Make the most of it and enjoy a few of the sunny spots down by the Seine, which gives you the chance to try specially selected products like at Mademoiselle Rose, or perhaps the bistro-nomic side of things at Bistrot d’Alexandre III. Families love brunch at the Quai Ouest and night-owls relish wild parties at the Guinguette. And also a few suggestions to take advantage of on these glorious days. Start by taking a seat at Philip Chronopolous’ wonderful table at the Restaurant du Palais Royal, before moving onto taste a brilliantly british menu at 110 de Taillevent, unless you prefer the Rosemary’s gastropub atmosphere. To finish, enjoy dishes created by young Colombian chef Juan Arbeleaz t the Atelier Renault Café. And some of unmissable exhibitions: powerful canvases by Jan Dilenschneider at the Galerie Pierre-Alain Challier and reinterpretations of Vélib’s by an international collective of artists. For little ones, head for the Jacquemart-André museum and its daily workshops. And for a bit of fresh air, why not head down to discover works on display in the Parc Rousseau d’Ermenonville? And a few recommendations of Parisian hotels to effortlessly enjoy the capital in a street art atmosphere of Gaston, unless you prefer Jules Verne at Philease. Or even the style of François Champsaur at the Ministère hotel or the cosy fashionable style at Monmatre in the Bass hotel. And also a few addresses that will take you away over a quick lunch: head to the Forum to test out Korean street food, G by Gaspard to try a world food version of naan. At Didine, the temporary Parisian open air café in the Tuileries or even Noura, for the days that you don’t fancy going out but would prefer a gastronomic Lebanese takeaway at home. Happy Paris!

  • Mademoiselle Rose, the perfect terrace

    Perfectly moored by the Quai des Célestins, Mademoiselle Rose is the terrace this summer. Its large terrace allows drink in a view of Ile Saint-Louis, the Pont Louis-Philippe and the Pont Marie in one of the capital’s most romantic corners. These hand-picked products can be enjoyed as gourmet sandwiches over a chic lunch break, a family meal or even a gourmet apéro. The bar menu favours up-and-coming wine-growers, which rub shoulders with well-known brands. Found between Pont Marie and Pont Louis-Philippe. B.D.

  • Bistrot Alexandre III on the Seine

    Without being one of the umpteenth floating barges on the Seine, Bistrot Alexandre III is the latest Parisian bistro-nomic hotspot. Here, little wine-growers and top products take pride of place. With its pewter tops, sober and chic décor, the spirit of the Parisian bistro reigns over sharing platters. Over the stove is chef Ryunosuke Naito, who trained alongside Alain Soliveres, Yannick Alleno, Alain Ducasse and Yves Camdeborde.   • Situated at Saint-Cloud on the edge of the Seine, Quai Ouest sports a new, entirely reinvented terrace for this summer season. Its exterior resembling an old dock, this restaurant takes on the look of a chic open-air café with its comfortable leather armchairs in which you can eat lunch in the sun and dine under the stars. And the menu appeals to lovers of steak house style meat. For families, Quai Ouest offers Sunday brunch buffet, which is free for those under three-years-old.   • Party at La Guinguette

    The first of its kind in Paris, La Guinguette revives this style of popular cabaret – but at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. Every Friday night, lovers of music and festive moments congregate here. From dusk until dawn, drink in beautiful views of Paris, sip at cocktails and dance on the vast open-air dance floor. On the agenda: rose, cocktails, tapas, different DJ sets (house, electro…), a beach atmosphere and relaxed ambiance.   • Philip Chronopoulos captivates the Restaurant du Palais-Royal

    Just a few weeks after its opening, the Restaurant du Palais Royal has proved a definite success. The place itself is certainly magnificent with its large terrace overlooking the gardens, its light and bright ground-floor dining room and its cosy salons upstairs. But what makes it so attractive is the cuisine by Philip Chronopolous, who has trained with Alain Passard and who was head chef at the Atelier Etoile de Robuchon for several years.   • A royal summer at "110 de Taillevent"-Paris

    Several weeks after the opening of its first address in London, oenological brasserie “Les 110 de Taillevent” (110 wines are available by glass) pays tribute to England. On the menu are several major specialities of British gastronomy: Scotch Eggs, fish & chips, lamb with mint sauce, Blue Stilton and Shropshire cheeses and puddings – naturally. On a more original note, the selection of wines from the Commonwealth comprises of bottles from Australia, New-Zealand and South Africa, but also several English grapes. London is calling!   • Juan Arbeleaz devises the menu at the Atelier Renault Cafe

    After Virginie Basselot, starred-chef and Best Worker in France of Saint-James Paris, and Benoit Gauthier, chef at Grand Pan, it is Juan Arbeleaz who creates a pop-up menu at the Atelier Renault Café. Having served top tables, this young Colombian heads up Plantxa in Boulogne-Billancourt, where he channels his dynamic work-ethic and creativity into devising inventive and flavoursome cuisine. At the Atelier Renault Café, he has dreamed up three dishes: citrus-marinated sea bream with ceviche sauce: grilled poultry with chorizo, carrot and chimichurry and cream of Kalamata olives; and a pineapple and basil coulee, light vanilla and lime mousse, speculos crumble and crispy meringue for a totally light finish.   • Rosemary, a Parisian Gastropub

    Weary after years spent in the city in London wanted to pursue “a skill that he was passionate about”. That would be Rosemary. The decoration of this gastropub was dreamed up by Studio Janreji, who was inspired by rustic-chic British pubs, which combines femininity and a slightly retro side. But crowds flock here to try this ultra British cuisine – with a great choice of draught beers naturally: perfect scotch eggs, light and crispy fish fingers, beef Wellington…for vegetable lovers and vegans, try the vegetarian risotto (today’s is cheddar, beetroot juice and gourmet peas – Carnaby Street colours).   • « Jan Dilenschneider, Freedom of Expression » at the Galerie Pierre-Alain Challier

    A lover of nature and all that she offers, Jan Dilenschneider never tires of painting Long Island horizons, where you may find her home and her studio. By representing these moments of daily life, her dream is to share her emotions and passions, but also to reflect upon the fragility of the world around us and our essential duty to protect it. For her third monographic exhibition, Jan Dilenschneider unveils 25 new oil canvases inspired by nature, but also the freedom to express our love for these constantly changing landscapes.

  • « I Vélib’, I can fly » at the Maison Velib’-EXKi

    Since 2007, the Vélib’ has been an integral part in the daily lives of many Parisians. Even abroad, it has become an icon of the capital, inspiring various artists. The Mairie de Paris and JCDecaux decided to fire up the imagination of several American, French and English members of the ARTCRANK collective, artists who love bikes. Rather humorous and often symbolic or even fantastical, 16 original serigraphs take you on a journey around Paris. Designed by distinct and well-known artists, they each use different techniques and create pieces that everyone can identify with, delivering their vision of this symbol of the capital.

  • « Visual Arts 2015 » at Parc Rousseau, Ermenonville

    For the last three years, Parc Rousseau has been developing a contemporary, multidiscipline project that comes to complete a restoration of its buildings and gardens. As part of the Festival des Fabriques, David des Moutis and Olivier Vadrot were invited to cast their eye over the park and its fabrics, particularly rare ones, which make up landscape scenes from the Age of Enlightenment. Their creations recreate one’s experience of the gardens as each material participates in the invention of a landscape.

  • The street art ambiance at the Gaston Hotel

    The meeting place located along the quiet boulevard Pereire lies the Gaston Hotel, purposely inscribed in modernity. All the public areas were entrusted to different street art artists, meeting with the community of Spendens Factory, which each have a personalised floor. The atmosphere is lively and dynamic, far from the calm and comfort of its bedrooms. The 43 bedrooms are light and cosy with the angles softened by curtains for more comfort. In the bathrooms, tiles imitate the wood for more comfort and the soothing colours make each room a haven. It’s a lovely place. B.D.

  • The Phileas hotel pays tribute to Jules Verne

    For a while, the district of Saint- lazare station had been the departure point for a number of travellers heading to London or New York. It’s to pay tribute to this spirit and to the hero Jules Verne that the Philease Hotel adopted such style including using wicker lamps, woodwork and travel trunks. Here, everything is inspired by the author of ‘around the world in 80 days’, between the industrial revolution and the great transatlantic voyages. After having taken the lift, designed to resemble a giant gondola you can access one of the 39 rooms that balance leather, wood and soft materials. A tantalizing atmosphere, which cultivates dreams created by Marine- Agnés Louboutin and Patrice Henry is a real success. B.D.

  • Le Basss, a boutique hotel at Montmartre

    With the concept of a smart boutique hotel, the Basss plays with a vintage design style, graphics and contraction giving a really cool vibe for the visitors. The building, typical of Parisian suburbs, mixes elements of Scandinavian and French design with the latest fashions in upcycling. The 36 rooms unite modernity, simplicity and comfort to create an atmosphere that can be easily adapted.   • The Ministère hotel has grown

    Opened in 2011 bewteen the Madeleine, the faubourg Saint- Honoré and the Champs Elysées, the Ministére hotel has grown and added 18 bedrooms in addition to the existing 24. Designed by Francois Champsaur, this extension offers atypical bedrooms, either in duplex or under a glass roof. Romantic, head in the stars or industrial atmospheres set up in duplexes with Eiffel structures and glass roof, or warm beech wood cocoons, complement the wide range of original rooms already available to the hotel.   • Korean street food at the Forum

    A quite little street in the 10th arrondissement in Paris. This is where Song has decided to install itself and offer Korean street food with a French twist. You might think that this young chef proposes fusion cuisine. Not at all, even if the décor could be found in New York or London. On the food side, you might be in Seoul or Chelsea. The various dishes, which are simultaneously modern and creative, are prepared with techniques borrowed from star chefs, the products are fresh, seasonal and prepared the same day. Let yourself be tempted by stuffed salted crepes and by “bols”. Delight in super fresh and savoury bobuns, whose composition changes according to the market.

  • G by Gaspard: naan fusion

    Gaspard exists once more! This former BTP engineer decided to radically transform his life, moving away from major projects to something more artisanal and creative. A keen amateur of Greek Gyros pita, he endeavours to seek out the perfect compromise between true/false kebabs and top-end cuisine. That would entail a meeting with Nadim, the master of naan – Indian bread -, which would determine what would follow. Every afternoon, G by Gaspard thus offers a selection of several flavoured naans (with meat, fish or vegan) accompanied by roasted vegetables. It is delicious, nutritious – as a large amount of work is put into the sauces and condiments – and delicate. Just put: an absolute triumph. B.D.

  • Chez Didine, temporary open-air cafe

    As the Tuileries fairground opens its doors, Chez Didine reopens for business. For over thirty years, Didine – the lady of the house – has annually organised a spot where visitors to the ground come to sustain themselves and where original lovers of the gardens can relax. An eclectic décor (carnival frescos, wooden tables, bistro tables, luminous garlands and crystal chandeliers) and invigorating, friendly dishes…the principles of open-air dining come together in a good-natured atmosphere.

  • Noura, Lebanese gastronomy at home
