L’Hermione, Bordeaux © Thomas Sanson

She berthed on 20th August and sets sail on 26th…Derived from/As part of her great American voyage lasting over four months, the legendary frigate returns to the French coast and is currently anchored in the Port de la Lune. A multitude of festivities celebrate her return: Burdigala cruises, the Bordeaux River Cruise, the Marco Polo and a village is open throughout the duration of its stopover, with dance parties that liven up the quays every day! The best bit has to be discovering the inside of the vessel, with chances for a daily visit. Take note: the “Cheese and Wine” nights that offer tastings of wines and cheeses on board, in partnership with the Interprofessional Wine Counsel of Bordeaux. On Wednesday 26th, the Hermione returns to her home port of Rochefort. Ships such as the Sardane, Burdigala and Marco Polo will follow the departure of this majestic sailboat.
