Provence: the field of Fontenille
We applaud with both hands Frédéric Biousse and Guillaume Foucher for the success of their wonderful project: the restoration and the “resurrection” of this beautiful country house and its vineyard of 35 hectares, built between the 16th and the late 18th century in the heart of the Luberon. One and a half year of work has been necessary to restore the place to its former glory. Now the building nestled in the heart of a planted cypress park (nearly 250), of oleanders, olive trees, hydrangeas, roses, iris … houses 17 rooms and suites. Spacious, bright they are adorned in shades of gray, beige, taupe. In bathrooms, old-style bathtubs perfectly go with the very design stoneware tiles signed by Patricia Urquiola. On the menu, the young chef Jérôme Faure depicts local exceptional products that you can taste at the Champ des Lunes, the gourmet restaurant and at the bistro, the Cuisine d’Amélie, where we enjoy a few signature dishes. .. at reasonable prices! A large swimming pool and a spa turn this place into a dream place. Finally the domain just opened the first exhibition of its contemporary art center: Les Mécaniques Absurdes. We can admire there, until the 26th of June, 2016, the works of Jean-Michel Fauquet, Laurent Millet and Ethan Murrow. A.F.-M.
