La Maison Bleue, a bistro in a reinvented district

La Maison bleue, Paris © DR

It may not be stuck up on a hill in San Francisco, but on a mini-hill at the Place Franz Liszt in the 10th arrondissement. At the project’s origins are David, Lionel and Marjorie. Three friends with a simple and efficient belief: a taste for fine things, a chic and relaxed ambiance, décor by Michaël Malapert. On the cooking side are market products cooked over embers in a carbon wood oven, and accompanying these dishes, a selection of wines created by passionate makers, handcrafted beers and fresh fruit juices. It’s like being at home – but better! B.D. www.lamaisonbleue.paris
