"Cross The Scan / Abbey Road" place Igor Stravinsky, Paris
Copy / paste the London Abbey Road zebra crossing made famous by the Beatles
in the heart of Paris. This is the challenge held by Les Nivaux, a couple of guest artists who, for over five years, return their scanner glass against the floor. They are digitizing the mythical places around the world to then “photojournalising » them in other territories, inaugurating a new and unique concept of photography. For Nuit Blanche 2016, the Pompidou Centre welcomes their work Cross The Scan / Abbey Road last fruit of their artistic explorations. It reproduces the pedestrian crossing in actual size and exact orientation. The public only has to walk in the footsteps of the Beatles.
