In the Italy of the 1960s, at the height of the economic boom, the artistic experimentation goes through an unprecedented intensity and rhythm.

Then the desired goals are to create a new vocabulary of signs and images able to translate the vitality of society and contemporary culture. The exhibition offers a new approach to the richness of Italian artistic production of this period. The main theme, the red thread of the exhibition lies in the way the depicted image, transitional and metamorphosed, by setting free from the monochrome, is used to build a new system of representation during a very short period of history of Italian art.
