"Daniel Crooks, Motion Studios" at Queensland Art Gallery, Brisbane.
“Motion Studies” presents the work of Daniel Crook and his important contribution to artistic media in Australia, which expresses itself through video and photography, even sculpture.
He thus explores the elasticity of movement in time and space. Best known for his “time frame” video technique where he uses ribbons of different thickness to create a video flux that evokes lyrical movement in time and space. Daniel Cook now uses these plastic explorations in the real world around us across three sculptural pieces. Until 25th October.
