Following the success of her exhibition at the submarine base in Bordeaux, Li Chevalier continues to draw on his experiences of unusual places by showcasing at Château Haut-Bailly.

“Stèles”, an installation designed in 2013 pays homage to poet Victor Segalen, a great explorer and lover of China, which he … during the tenth century. When in China, ‘stèles’ symbolise friendship, love, military ideals, the Empire and power, those of Li Chevalier himself, illuminated from within, broadcasting calligraphic poems, an ode to the imagination. Like a storyteller, these rub shoulders with barrels from the wine cellar.
Until 26th September.
