"Nicolas de Crécy » at the Helena and Edouard Leclerc Fund, Quimper.
Talented drawing artist, Nicolas de Crécy has built in its books a world that is both strange and poetic with a touch of absurd and often acerbic humor.
In his works, fed by surrealism and melancholy, he plays with the narrative codes by exploring different genres and techniques, while developing in parallel new works – paintings, sculptures, engravings … – offering an original interpretation of the fate of the Wittgenstein brothers. The exhibition, designed in two parts, offers a retrospective journey and shows the extent of his graphic and stylistic experiments. It also wants to be a real dive in the making of drawing, techniques and processes.
