We will remember the name of Vanessa Schindler. This young Swiss-born designer was doubly and unanimously praised by receiving the Première Vision Grand Prize at the 32nd Fashion and Photography Festival in Hyères, winning the Prize from the Public and the City of Hyères, for her Women’s collection Urethane Pool, Chapter 2.

This award know in the fashion industry for its vocation to discover young talents among the most promising ones on an international level, is endowed with a grant of creation of 15 000 Euros offered by the Première Vision tradeshow, a visibility at trade shows in New York and Paris, and a project of collaboration with the CHANEL House of art for 15 000 euros. Finally, a collaboration with Petit Bateau, endowed with 10 000 euros. As part of a policy to support the young creation before and after the festival, the young designer, thanks to the Formers section, will be followed for three years, as all the finalists, through the establishment of professionals partnerships with brands.

Vanessa Schindler sculpts the material to turn it into a garment. Her great artistic freedom takes down the boundaries between fashion and the visual arts. The result is an original work of fabrics treated like materials, and offering an artistic chic aspect without any artifice where the body remains central, free from its movements, not to say liberated, leaving on the world a shifted imprint.
Gesine Försterling, from Germany, has received the Chloé Prize with a grant of € 15,000.

Maria Korkeila from Finland has received the honorable distinction from the fashion jury for Under Wraps, her Men collection, awarded with a scholarship of 10 000 euros offered by the house of Schiaparelli.
As for fashion accessories, the jury chaired by Pierre Hardy awarded the Swarovski Fashion Accessories jury prize to Marina Chedel, a Swiss designer for her conceptual and creative shoe collection, while Wendy Andreu received the Public and City of Hyères Prize for a collection of bags and hat based on a woven thread.
As for Wataru Tominaga, the winner of the Grand Prize of the Première Vision Jury in 2016, he created, out of competition, a new ultra colored collection created with the support of the Chanel, Lesage and Lognon Houses of art. It is also the policy of the director of the festival, Jean-Pierre Blanc, to guarantee the young creative a follow-up over three years giving them every chance to grow and fulfill their goals.
